Car breaks down
Sometimes your car can stop working while you are on the highway or a busy road. Whether it happens to you for the first time or you have experienced car trouble before, you may not know the best way to handle the situation until the tow truck arrives. Here are some simple tips to help you plan in case you ever find yourself stranded:

Stay Calm

Every now and again, you can expect to be inconvenienced by your auto. Try not to panic because you could put yourself at risk if you are not thinking clearly.

Pull Over

Try to maneuver your car to the right side of the road, onto a level grassy spot or the shoulder. If you can, stop on a straight section of road so you can be safe if you are able to pull back into traffic.

Use Your Flashers

You should use your hazard lights to alert other drivers to your situation. If it is dark outside, you may want to use your interior lights instead to draw attention to your car. Be aware that leaving your lights on for an extended period will drain your battery.

Call for Backup

You should contact a towing companyanyfor roadside assistance instead of attempting to make any repairs on your own. You will be safer if you stay inside your vehicle until help arrives.
The most important thing drivers should remember if they have car trouble is to stay safe. If you need the assistance of a towing company, College Oak Towing is here to help.
